2 days with an Instructor 1 day with a Mountain Guide

3 day course (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon) Ideal for anyone who can get away for that long weekend. 2 days will be with one of our top BASS Instructors and 1 day will be with a Mountain Guide. The Guide day would include skiing off piste at the Grands Montets at Argentiere or the Vallee Blanche (weather/snow permitting).
Course includes tuition on the hill and video analysis/feedback

Hi Shona, On behalf of the 'old farts', I would just like to tell you how much we enjoyed your company and how much we benefited from the technical pointers you gave us. The on and off piste instruction was first rate and in the nicest possible way, you deconstructed our age-old bad habits and opened our minds to more effective techniques. Coaching a group of teachers, moving into the geriatric twilight and set in their ways, could not have been an easy task but you managed it with ease and good humour. Equally impressive was the way in which your comments were personalised to individual members of our group. OFSTED would have graded you 'outstanding' for your differentiated teaching. The real testament to your teaching ability came on the last two days when we skied Courmayeur and Les Houches. The lads were no longer bombing around the mountain with gay abandon but visibly skiing in control, trying to put into practice the things you taught us. I am sure your supportive comments will be with us for a long time to come.

I would certainly recommend BASS Chamonix courses to anyone who wanted to improve their skiing technique and move up a level. The combination of your coaching days and the day 'touring' the Valley Blanche made for an excellent holiday. I am sure we will return to Chamonix and hopefully meet up again.

Hi Shona, Just writing to thank you for a great off piste course last month. We really enjoyed it and at the end of the three days, felt that we had made real progress. Your ability to analyse bad habits and incorrect technique and then to suggest ways to correct them, was exactly what we needed. (my right arm is no longer left behind!) The last day skiing from the top of the Grands Montets with Pete was superb, as was the weather and the additional transceiver training and snow / avalanche awareness was very informative. We might well be back for more, providing I can remember where I put my Arva!!!

I would like to say how much I appreciated the quality of Instruction we received on a recent off-piste course. Shona was by far the most perceptive ski-instructor I have come across, and Pete, our guide, was great too. Shona analysed areas for improvement for each of the four members of the group and used them to take all of us forward. I felt that we all improved very significantly, although I have to admit that the younger ones progressed faster than I did (at 63)! I used to spend a lot of time observing teachers in schools across Europe and can confidently say that Shona is an excellent teacher.
