"I attended the Off Piste Performance for Mountaineers course run by Alison Culshaw. I would highly recommend BASS and Alison to anyone wanting to improve their off-piste ski performance whether you are a budding Mountain Guide or just keen to hit the steep and deep. Bon ski!
Rob Jarvis, MIC, British Mountain Guide, Fort William.
With my Guides Ski Test rapidly approaching I enrolled on the early season Off Piste Performance for Mountaineers Course. The course was excellent and gave just the right balance of coaching and mileage. I passed my final Ski Test, and now recommend Alison to all my clients wanting to improve their skiing Stuart Macdonald, British Mountain Guide, Chamonix.
Skiing courses are often very expensive, but this course represents excellent value for money. For about the same price as my five day ski pass I enjoyed superb lessons every day. Each day was well structured, and focused on our individual needs. I would recommend this course to anyone Pete Rowlands, MIC, North Wales
'I first attended a BASS Ski Performance For Mountaineers course in winter 2007-08, and it set me up well for my first winter season in the Alps. Two years on it felt like my skiing was no longer progressing, so I enrolled in the course again for some more external input.
I found the second course every bit as useful as the first. On both occasions, I was given technical pointers to improve my skiing, and exercises and mental pictures to focus on whilst skiing afterwards. The input from the second course was complementary but different from the first, and put me back on an improvement curve.
On both occasions I've found the coaching to be 'slow release'. I improved a little on the courses, and much more afterwards through practice.' Phil
